Things that Happened in This Session
- This session was more interesting than usual because our team made a proper presentation and did thorough research on our topic, which we couldn't explain well in the last class.
- Hari sir explained some important topics including stakeholder mapping, why web mapping, and empathy mapping.
- The session ended sooner because we had a half-day on this Tuesday.
- Hari sir handed over his class to Vignesh sir, who is a senior tutor and an expert in design thinking, stakeholder mapping, why root mapping, and empathy mapping.
Things Vignesh Sir Taught Us
- What is a Stakeholder?
- A stakeholder is a person who can be directly or indirectly affected by or can affect a problem or product.
- For example, in the case of Dairy Milk chocolate, the shopkeeper is a stakeholder. They can affect the chocolate's availability by choosing not to purchase it.
- Types of Stakeholders
- Primary Stakeholders: Directly affect or are affected by the problem or product.
- Secondary Stakeholders: Indirectly affect or are affected by the problem or product.
- Creators and Victims
- Creators are those who create the product or solution.
- Victims are those who face the problem and are affected by it.
- What is Stakeholder Mapping?
- Stakeholder mapping involves identifying all the stakeholders and understanding their interests, influence, and impact on the project.
Additional Points
- We discussed how stakeholder mapping helps in understanding the needs and expectations of different stakeholders.
- Empathy mapping was also explained, which is used to understand the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors of users.
- The importance of root mapping was highlighted, which helps in identifying the root cause of a problem.

Creators and Victims
In the context of our problem, there are both creators of the problem and victims of the problem.
